IPL 2024: Three Key Player Battles to Watch Out for in Today's Match Between RCB and CSK

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will square off in match 68 of the TATA IPL 2024. The game is slated to go in Bangalore's M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 18. RCB is ranked seventh with 12 points. However, CSK is ranked fourth in the IPL 2024 with seven victories and six losses.

The captains of RCB and CSK are Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad, respectively. Chennai has won 21 of the 32 games in their head-to-head series against Bangalore.

In the RCB vs. CSK game, keep an eye out for the following three crucial player battles:

1) Tushar Deshpande vs. Rajat Patidar

In the last seven innings, Rajat Patidar has smashed five half-centuries, demonstrating amazing consistency. However, Tushar Deshpande is CSK's top wicket-taker so far this season.

2) Ravindra Jadeja against Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has been playing exceptionally well, hitting runs in practically every game. He is the current holder of the Orange Cap and has single-handedly led RCB to a strong position. However, Ravindra Jadeja, the current player with the most wickets taken by CSK versus RCB, will pose a test to him. Consequently, it will be intriguing to observe who would win in season.

3) Mohammed Siraj vs. Ruturaj Gaikwad

With 583 runs, Ruturaj Gaikwad has led CSK from the front and is now ranked second in the list of players with the most runs this season. In the powerplay, Mohammed Siraj will be prepared to challenge him for the battle with the ball. Siraj will try to get rid of Gaikwad early on in order to give RCB a solid start. Thus, it will be an intriguing contest to follow.
