Who will win the first test between India and England? Pitch report, fantasy team, and further

India may seem unstoppable when playing at home, but skipper Rohit Sharma stated that his team wouldn't want to be considered "unbeatable" and that they would need to win the five-match series against England with steady performance. India's first Test against England is scheduled to begin on Thursday, and Rohit stated that his team's tactics are his main concern.

For the past twelve years, England, led by Alastair Cook, has not lost at home. The last team to defeat the hosts in their own stadium was England in 2012.

"We are not invincible, in my opinion. That is not the way we want to think. However, our prior performance in the last ten or so years does not ensure that we will win this series. To win this series, we need to play well," Rohit stated at the press conference held before the game.

Fantasy squad: Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Zak Crawley, Jonny Bairstow, Jasprit Bumrah, Jack Leach, James Anderson, Ravichandran Ashwin (captain), Ravindra Jadeja (vice-captain),

Pitch Specifications:The 22-yard trampoline appeared dry ahead of the first Test, which begins here on Thursday, especially from the good-length area on either side of it.It's difficult to say (pitch nature). Once the contest commences, we will examine and determine the situation. I think that looks like a nice one." Rahul Dravid made a pretty ordinary start to his remarks during Tuesday's media session.

He continued, saying, "But might spin a little bit." I'm not sure how fast or how soon, though. However, as the game progresses, it may undoubtedly spin a little."

Mark Wood, a fast bowler, however, acknowledged that the England team had talked about the type of surface without making a mess of things.

"The pitch has been discussed. However, I don't think we talk about it enough to be concerned about it. Our gang has enough confidence in itself to accomplish something exceptional. In addition to having seam and spinners, we also have good hitters and a strong recent record."

Wood did concede, though, that the England players will need to perform well on the available tracks during the series.

"We'll adjust. Our captain is someone who is constantly looking to advance the team. Thus, it ought to be a fun television show," Wood added.
