Delhi-NCR is covered in dense fog, making visibility less

Delhi, New: Parts of the nation's capital were covered in a thick fog on Tuesday morning, which made visibility difficult and inconvenient for commuters.

As of 5.30 am on Tuesday, the official website of the Indian Meteorological Department reports that the current temperature in Delhi is 11.4 degrees Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Department, several areas of Delhi saw isolated shallow fog on Monday night.

At 11:30 p.m. on January 29, extremely dense fog was observed in a few isolated areas of northwest Rajasthan; there was also substantial fog in a few isolated areas of Punjab, Haryana, and West U.P.; and there was shallow fog in a few isolated areas of Delhi."

In the meanwhile, Punjab experienced a similar circumstance on Monday night as a result of heavy fog.

Images taken in several areas of the nation's capital revealed people congregating around bonfires to fend off the chilly weather.

Earlier on Sunday, there was a lot of fog and cold in Delhi and other parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. This caused delays for trains, planes and other forms of transportation.

On Sunday, inclement weather caused numerous planes at Indira Gandhi International Airport to be delayed. The thick fog at the New Delhi Railway Station also caused delays for trains.

"Very dense" fog conditions were observed over Uttar Pradesh at 5.30 am on Sunday, according to IMD. According to the IMD's estimate for the next five days in Ayodhya, Tuesday's low will probably be 8 degrees Celsius with "shallow fog," while the high could reach 19 degrees Celsius.
